Salvation

The Bible teaches:

To enter the Kingdom of Heaven, “you must be born again.” (John 3:3)
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:3)
“God is not willing that anyone should perish”. (2 Pet. 3:9, 1 Tim. 2:4)
There is only one way to God the Father – through Jesus Christ. He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)
It’s impossible to save yourself – it is by God’s grace (undeserved favor) that we are saved through faith in His Son Jesus Christ, not by our own works. (Eph. 2:8-9)
He sent His Son Jesus into the world to save the world, not to condemn the world. (John 3:16-17) God is not angry with you. He loves you!
Jesus became sin for us so that we could be reconciled to God and become new creations (born again) in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5:17-21)
In order to be saved you must “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 16:30-31) and repent of (to be truly sorry and turn away from) your sins. (2 Pet. 3:9)
The way that you do this is by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. (Rom. 10:9-10, Rom. 10:13)

Pray this Prayer:

If you’re not sure that you are born again and you want to be.
If you can’t remember a time when you confessed with your mouth (prayed out loud) to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
If you’re tired of trying to live your life in your own strength and you’re ready to let Jesus show you a better way.
If you want to be set free from the fear of death, hell, and the grave. (Heb. 2:9b and 2:14-15)

“Heavenly Father, I come to You today to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I believe You sent Jesus to die for me. I believe You raised Him from the dead. Jesus, please come into my life and save me. I turn away from my sin and I ask You to forgive me now of all unrighteousness. I confess You as my Savior and Lord. I am trusting You completely as the only hope of my salvation. Thank You for saving me. I want to live for You for the rest of my life as You teach me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!”
