Prison Ministry

We have been conducting prison church services for over 20 years at the Kyle Unit. Our church is called “Church on the Inside.” Each week Mike preaches powerful, truth-filled, messages from the Word of God and Stephanie ministers through song, sermonettes and, believe it or not, reading children’s story books. The men love them!

Since the advent of COVID, one of the primary ways we minister to those behind bars is through 31-day devotionals as well as our other printed materials. Our partners help us print and distribute these around the state of Texas as well as wherever the Lord leads.

We are looking forward to expanding our ministry to those who are (or have been) incarcerated by providing more printed materials, conducting weekend seminars and taking part in prison crusades as God provides opportunity.

Teaching

Mike is passionate in his preaching of the Word of God.  He is especially known for his straight-forward teaching on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which makes it easy for believers to receive. 

Overall, his teaching focuses on the Holy Spirit and victorious Kingdom living with an emphasis on grace and faith and godly character. 

Leadership Training

Mike served as the Director of Life Unlimited Church Leadership School from 2015 – 2017, where he was privileged to teach alongside the church’s Senior Pastors.  The curriculum’s main focus was grace, faith and the Holy Spirit.  In addition, Mike teaches “Christian Character” and “Biblical Worldview.”

Christian Higher Education

Mike has served as the Director of Life Christian Bible Institute (Austin and Lockhart campuses) since 2006.  He takes an active role in the school, teaching subjects such as Principles of Faith, Authority of the Believer, Healing, Homiletics, Prayer, etc., etc. 

Mike’s book, “Born Again to Win,” has been developed into a college course for Life Christian University (Lutz, FL).

BORN AGAIN TO WIN: Living Life Empowered by the Holy Spirit (Amazon, 2016) 

This book contains the foundational teachings offered to inmates in our weekly services at Church on the Inside (Kyle Unit). These lessons are directed toward helping them live victorious Christian lives.  His book has been used as required reading for the Holy Spirit course (2017 & 2018)at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX.  It was also turned into a course for Life Christian University. BORN AGAIN TO WIN: 100 Daily Discipleship Devotions (Trilogy, 2022)

This book contains 100 devotions that will help the reader gain a better understanding of the walk of faith, the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the benefits of God’s grace.

It was designed with discipleship in mind. Each devotion is packed with Scripture references that will allow the reader to verify for themselves that what is being taught is straight from the Word of God and thereby strengthen the foundation of their Christian faith.

BORN AGAIN TO WIN:  31-Day Discipleship Devotional Books

These pocket-sized devotional books were designed so inmates can tuck them in their shirt pocket and take them wherever they go. Each devotional book covers subjects such as faith, grace, identity in Christ, the Holy Spirit, etc., etc. We currently have 7 pocket-size devotionals in print with more on the way.

The story of Jehoshaphat can be a source of comfort, encouragement, and strength for believers of all ages who face challenges in life and seemingly hopeless situations in our world.  Study this book carefully and learn how to win life’s battles using God’s battle plan.

NAVIGATING LIFE’S CHOICES

Do you make decisions based on what you think or what the world is telling you is right or do you make decisions based on the Word of God? This books looks at our worldview through the eyes of a Christian.

We have plans to develop and publish more devotional materials as well as faith-based curriculum to be used in various ministry settings.
